Making Effects

All built-in image effects, which are supported by the Editor, can be created by the Image Effects dialog shown in example below (for the Hue-Saturation command).

Example of the Image Effects dialog

The dialog includes two image placeholders. In the left image box you can see the original image; in the right image you can view the image as modified with the currently chosen effect. If the image is larger than the placeholder, you can drag images synchronously using the mouse (the mouse cursor appears as a "hand" pointer when it is moved over the image). After clicking the Apply button, the original image is changed and the effects combo box will display the "Original" item.

If you choose another effect from the effects combo box, but do not apply the previous effect, the previous change will be discarded. Most parameters in the dialog can be modified within some range of integers.

To modify the image effect:

1. Select one or more images on the active label version. Choose the effect name from the menu (by the Format-->Effects--><image effect> command), or open any effect and then select the needed effect from the combo box in the Image Effects dialog.

Note: This is not an actual effect, but the first entry in the Effects combo box is an Original. When selected, only the original image will be displayed in the dialog.

2. The Image Effects dialog displays different parameters for different image effect commands:
